Sol-Ark Cares: A Quiet Contribution to a
Bigger Shift

A New Kind of Power at the 2025 GoPro Mountain Games

Every June, the GoPro Mountain Games transforms Vail into a pulse of movement—athletes climbing, paddling, biking, and running across one of the most scenic backdrops in the country. But beneath the adrenaline and energy drinks, something quieter happened this year. A small shift. The kind that points toward a different kind of future. For the first time in the event’s history, one of its venues ran entirely on solar power. And nestled in the heart of that effort was a Sol-Ark 15K inverter, quietly powering a tent used by staff and athletes—charging radios, tools, lights, and devices that kept the event humming behind the scenes.

Supporting Sustainability, Not the Spotlight

This wasn’t about product showcases. It wasn’t about brand recognition. It was about utility. Support. Showing what’s possible when clean power meets community infrastructure.

The Mountain Games didn’t just host events this year—they modeled what sustainable logistics can look like at scale:

– 188kWh of solar power delivered
– 165 lbs of coal avoided
– 340 lbs of COâ‚‚ kept out of the atmosphere
– 235 gallons of water saved
– Equivalent of 380 driving miles offset

But numbers alone don’t capture what really matters.

Because the impact doesn’t end when the tents come down.

It continues in the choices the organizers will make next year. In the way volunteers now talk about clean energy. In the way a young athlete, sitting in that tent catching her breath, might think differently about the role energy plays in the world she’s inheriting.

We didn’t just donate an inverter. We helped seed a future where renewable energy isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s the expected thing to do.

Creating a Ripple Effect for the Next Generation

The GoPro Mountain Games showed what can happen when clean energy is integrated seamlessly into a major event. And when other organizers or communities look to this event as a model, we hope they ask:
How can we do something like that?

That’s how change moves—quietly, steadily, one good decision at a time.
